PHI MRO Services, a global leader in helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, recently delivered the first of two Bell 407 GXis to Louisiana State Police (LSP) as part of a completion contract awarded in August 2024.
The custom-configured aircraft was delivered to LSP on February 7, 2025, ahead of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. The aircraft—which was outfitted with aft and forward TFO stations and a Trakka solution consisting of the TC-375 camera system, TM-100 mapping system and the TLX Searchlight—played a key role in public safety and operational support throughout the busy game-day weekend.

The completion contract, which PHI MRO Services announced during the 2024 Airborne Public Safety Association’s APSCON conference and trade show, included the installation of mission-specific equipment, avionics integration and custom interior modifications tailored to the operational needs of the Louisiana State Police. Supporting PHI’s efforts, CNC Technologies provided the equipment for the integration along with related support and training for LSP’s team.
Completion of the second of the two Bell 407 GXis continues at PHI’s state-of-the-art MRO facility in Lafayette, La., and is slated for delivery in the early second quarter.
